Virtual Psycho-Educational Testing

Get high-quality, comprehensive evaluations from the comfort of home delivered by PsyPACT-licensed clinicians with 15+ years of testing experience.

Why families choose virtual testing with The Mind Center

  • PsyPACT coverage. Our psychologists are authorized through PsyPACT to practice telepsychology in participating states; services are considered to occur where you are located at the time of service.

  • Same rigor, same outcomes. We use publisher-approved, standardized tools designed for remote administration and follow best-practice tele-assessment protocols.

  • Convenient & kid-friendly. No travel, flexible scheduling, shorter sessions with movement breaks, and options for evenings or weekends.

  • Clear, practical results. You’ll receive a detailed, parent-friendly report plus an action-oriented feedback session focused on school supports and next steps.

Where We Can Test

Because our clinicians are licensed through PsyPACT, we are authorized to provide virtual psycho-educational evaluations in any state that participates in the PsyPACT compact. That means your child can be evaluated from the comfort of home as long as you are physically located in a PsyPACT state at the time of the assessment.

The map below highlights all current PsyPACT-participating states. If your state is shaded, you’re eligible for virtual testing with us.

PsyPACT states as of September 2025

  • You don’t need to travel to another state for specialized testing.

  • Services are recognized as taking place where you are, ensuring compliance with licensing laws.

  • As PsyPACT continues to expand, more families will gain access to trusted, high-quality virtual assessments.

Why this matters:

What We Evaluate (Virtual)

  • ADHD / Executive Functioning: clinical interview, computerized facial recognition ADHD test, rating scales from multiple informants, performance-based attention/working memory tasks, and real-world recommendations.

  • Dyslexia & Reading Disorders: phonological processing, decoding, fluency, comprehension, and related language skills.

  • Writing & Math Disorders: spelling/written expression mechanics & organization; math calculation, fluency, and problem solving.

  • Gifted & Twice-Exceptional (2e): cognitive profiles, academic strengths, and learning supports.

  • Autism Spectrum (screening & targeted assessment): developmental history, behavior ratings, and social-communication measures.

  • College/Standardized-Test Accommodations: documentation tailored to common guidelines (extended time, reduced distractions, note-taking support, etc.).

Some fine-motor or sensory-dependent tasks may require substitution, rescheduling, or in-person completion. We’ll advise you early if that applies.

How virtual testing works

  1. Intake & records review
Secure portal intake, school/medical records, teacher input, and goals for testing.

  2. Tele-assessment sessions
HIPAA-compliant video platform; evidence-based, publisher-approved measures; breaks built in. Most evaluations are completed across 1–3 shorter sessions.

  3. Rating scales & school input
Digital forms for parents/teachers to capture behavior across settings.

  4. Scoring & integrated report
Clear explanations, diagnostic impressions (when applicable), and concrete recommendations for home, school, and testing accommodations.

  5. Results & roadmap meeting
A 60-minute virtual feedback session to translate results into next steps (IEP/504 support, classroom strategies, referrals, and accommodations requests).

What’s included?

  1. Free Discovery Call (15 min)
We confirm fit for tele-assessment, PsyPACT eligibility, and goals (school plan, accommodations, diagnosis clarification, etc.)

  2. Intake & Records Review
Questionnaires for parents/clients/teachers, prior reports, IEP/504 plans, and relevant medical history.

  3. Testing Sessions (2–6 hours total)
Conducted live over a secure video platform in multiple shorter sessions. We use publisher-approved digital tests and standardized administration.

  4. Scoring, Analysis & Report
Clear results + data tables, diagnoses (when warranted), and step-by-step recommendations for home, school, and testing accommodations.

  5. Feedback Meeting
A collaborative, 60 minute session to review results, finalize next steps, and tailor letters for school or test boards when appropriate.

Quality & ethics you can trust

  • PsyPACT-licensed clinicians. Our psychologists practice telepsychology across PsyPACT-participating states in line with state and federal regulations.

  • Standardization & validity. We use remote-normed measures and standardized administration procedures; if validity is compromised (e.g., distractions, connection issues), we pause and reschedule to protect integrity.

  • Privacy first. Encrypted, HIPAA-compliant platforms

Will schools and testing boards accept a virtual evaluation?

Many schools and boards accept tele-assessment when administered by licensed clinicians using appropriate, validated methods. Requirements can vary by district, college, or testing organization. We’ll align your evaluation to commonly needed elements and advise you on any additional documentation that might be requested. If a board requires an in-person measure, we’ll provide a targeted add-on session. We strongly encourage parents/adults being tested to find out if the agency they are submitting the report to will accept virtual testing.

Pricing & payment options

  • We are out-of-network and provide a detailed superbill for you to seek reimbursement.

  • Interest-free payment plan available (quick eligibility check with no impact to your credit score).

Is my child a good fit for tele-assessment?

Virtual testing is an excellent option for most students, including those with attention, anxiety, or learning concerns. It may not be appropriate when:

  • intensive behavior support is needed to participate,

  • significant sensory or motor assessments are required, or

  • your setting cannot meet tech/environment needs.

If tele-assessment isn’t the best fit, we’ll recommend hybrid or in-person alternatives.

Important notice: The same intelligence and/or academic achievement test should not be re‑administered within 12 months. If prior testing exists, please tell us which test and date so we can plan an accurate battery.

Frequently Asked Questions
